Today I visited this store with a most unfriendly experience. I walked up to the counter to make a purchase and the lady behind the counter never acknowledged me. She never even looked at me. I teach knitting in the area, and I will never recommend this store to anyone.
I never have witnessed such bizarre behavior. THE BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE THE STORE IS TO SELL IT ASAP!!!!!!! LET SOMEONE TURN IT INTO A WARM FUZZY!!!!!!!

I had a very un-friendly experience in this shop too. I was in there for 10 minutes and I was not greeted at all...and there were ladies sitting at the tables in the back. The shop was very disorderly too....

I have never had one bad time in the yarn ladies shop. I can only say that if the woman who had a bad experiance may have been haveing a bad day herself. I have walked into many a yarn stores and not been greated. This is not a priority of shops to great all customers. And I know that you were not singled out and ignored.
Sometimes you have to great back and then you will see that you are welcome. Either way, this is a lovely shop and very warm and inviting to all people. They selection of yarn is wonderful. This community should welcome it with open arms as it has needed a yarn store for quite some time. And now that it is here......say hello and get to know it.

I bought a pattern and yarn from you in january for a chilld striped cardigan and love it! I'm looking now for a young child, either cardigan or pullover, that has a baseball pattern on it; can be the baseball itself, a bat, a glove -- anything that is clearly baseball. Do you have such a thing?? My sister owns a home in StoneCreek and could pick it up for me. Thanks.

I was shocked to see the comment above, and don't usually respond to these type of postings, but all the months I have been shopping, taking classes and getting help at the Summerfield, Fla. The Yarn Lady shop, have been so wonderful, that I had to counter that other persons comment. We have a snow bird population, so it is quieter when most leave the area, but especially in "season", the store is always full of chatty, happy stitchers, led along by the owner, Diane, who is continually helping everyone. We don't know when she sleeps or eats, because between all the inventory and sales, creating the classes and being the only "worker" - she is a non-stop contributor. The atmosphere is so inspiring, her decor of hundreds of made items, displayed so cleverly, is compelling. This is a "touchy, feely" shop, full of tactile opportunities as well as triggers to light your imagination. I hope people won't be influenced by the earlier comment of someone who did not have a good experience. You are not badgered or aggressively followed around the shop, but gently allowed to wander and enjoy, and maybe she misunderstood that gesture as indifference, but it is an excellent place if you like anything yarn.

The most un-friendly shop I have ever visited. No one else in the store but me and the woman at the counter did not greet me or ask if I needed help. Nice yarn but horrific service. They have some nerve boast they are, "Florida's friendliest new yarn shop."
