Knit 'N Purl closed. Another yarn store called Yarn Haven took its place. Sit 'n stitch time = anytime.

One of my favorite LYS's! The shop is in the same location that Knit n' Purl used to be in, but the atmosphere feels very different than the previous shop did. Well recommended!

Large store, good selection, very helpful staff, and a sale bin with lots of goodies!

My favorite yarn store when I am in East TN -- where I spend holidays and summers. Friendly atmosphere, nice selection of affordable yarns.

Nice store, friendly and informative staff, good selection of yarns; accessories. Relaxed atmosphere, good place to visit and just hang out.

This is my favorite yarn store in east TN. It's very large and spacious, there's good natural light, the yarn is very nicely arranged by weight, and the clearance bin is always a good find! They have beautiful colors and selections, from workhorse staple yarns to local, to new and/or obscure gems! The shop keepers are always nice and delightful and there are always a good selection of classes going on.

This is a good store. They have good classes and a good selection of yarn. I don't find it all that friendly toward people who don't buy all their yarn from them. And sometimes it feels a little bit conventional for my taste. Also I don't think their pattern selection is very "hip." But it's a good store--really. They carry Malabrigo worsted, and I love that.

This used to be a very pleasant store to shop at. Their selection is still good but management has become erratic and less friendly over the last year and a half. Security cameras were installed a few months ago and they recently announced a second similarly stocked shop will be opening just a few miles away. I have heard they are actively trying to go after Farragut customers shopping at a new LYS in Lenoir City. I will still shop there but only if it is convenient. I feel uncomfortable with the new business practices.

This is in response to "Anonymous"'s comment on October 18, 2011: I'm sorry that you have felt that we are less friendly than in the past. Since I am the only one in management I am concerned about your comments as they are a bit personal. We intalled our security cameras because we were having a major problem with folks stealing yarn. I'm sure that you can understand that we have to do what is necessary in order to stay in business. We expanded our shop to the Farragut area in order to grow our shop. I'm not sure who told you we were trying to "go after" another LYS's customers because that is simply not true. We have no control over where people choose to shop. If people choose to shop at the Forget Me Knot shop in Lenoir City, then that's fine. Theresa is a wonderful person and would be glad to help them in any way she could. I wouldn't want anyone to shop in our store unless they wanted to be there. I do value your comments and would appreciate it if you would come in and talk with me personally about specific ways that you feel I have changed.

This is a lovely store with such helpful, friendly people, excellent stock and comfortable places to sit and knit. I used to shop there more often but it has become very hard for me to get out there. We are blessed to have this and other fine yarn shops in Knoxville.
