Amazing what they do with the space. This has the basics stuffed into a matchbox. The folks there are always so good-natured and fun.

No visit to Portsmouth would be complete without visiting The Yarn Basket. Although this is a small space, and I mean very very very small, they've managed to make it work. Tons of yarn there, and they have more in the basement (I don't think we can go down there, but they'll get what you need!). I love it here! I wish there was a sitting space and perhaps some candy! :)

This is my favorite yarn store ever!! They are right there to help with questions, their yarn is to die for. Just a friendly place!!!

I love their new location on Hanover Street! They have more room, and it's very cozy. Diane is wonderful, and every time I walk in, there's something new to tempt me!

Great shop, charming location, friendly women, what a plus, we all hate crabby knit shop owners! Of course I purchased some yarn, who ever goes to a yarn shop and does not purchase something? This is a nice location, just up from the main st. in Portsmouth, right across from the parking garage, .75 an hour, a true bargain. Right next door to a juice bar, what more could you want, buy some yarn, get a great fresh drink, sit outside the juice bar and relax.

They've moved to an even more beautiful location, bright, cheerful, and with the same fabulous service, but lots more merchandise. This shop is like popping in on a friend to sit and knit! Call the shop for directions, I kinda stink at giving directions.
