My husband and I were both in Summerville for different business things on a weekday and didn't have anywhere to be for a while, so we took the opportunity to stop by. Lovely shop! It's cosy, well-lit with sofas and a chair. Both staff who were there were friendly and attentive, and a beginning knitter was getting tons of great advice while I was browsing. There were lots of beautiful yarn of course, but also nice HiyaHiya circs and other interesting odds and ends including some cute buttons and elegant shawl pins. Found a book I've been looking for which is always a plus. I'll definitely make a point to go there again. Cheers and good luck to Emily and all at the Village Knittery!

There are some other craft-related stores within walking distance, restaurants, and there is parking, too. Would be a fun afternoon trip with your sewing & beading buddies. :)

I love this shop, its a warm and cozy shop full of dreamy yarns. I never knew such exotic yarns existed. You just want to touch them all.
I took a beginning knit class, it was one on one with the owner, she taught me the knit stitch and the purl stitch, cast on, and cast off, along with reading the labels and how the yarns are made, how to store the yarns and just tons of more information. I plan to take more classes in the future as they offer a variety including crochet classes too.

I am getting back into knitting after a very long hiatus. I visited the store and was delighted to see such a beautiful variety of yarns and other knitting supplies. The young man working there directed me to a fairly easy project to knit a sweater for my first grandchild, due in 4 months. He and two different customers were very encouraging and helpful. I look forward to going back and perhaps taking a class.
It is a beautiful store and a welcoming, cozy environment. I just wish there was one in Mount Pleasant!

A cozy, inviting little shop with friendly "one-on-one". Was a little more exciting and inspiring than herding back to the "mass-produced items and locations". Did not miss having to hunt down a salesperson and hoping they would understand my questions and have valid answers. Made for a very nice "Me Time".....since I don't get them often. I wish them stability and success. And thanks for all your help and encouragement.

What a wonderful shop!! Nice space, well organized, brightly lit with natural light and who's ever heard of a Sale day?! Lucky me for stopping in on one of those =) If you are in the area this is so worth the visit. I didn't have time to stay long (on a business trip) but the area looks so inviting with a bunch of other shops within walking distance. It's only about 30 minutes outside of Charleston too!
