I love the tangled web. This is definitely my current favorite LYS. The people are so nice and helpful! I can't always find exactly what I want, but they are great about helping and special ordering, and will always chase down an extra ball in your dye lot if needed.

When I lived in Phila, this was my favorite yarn shop. Amazing window displays. Place to sit and knit. Great needle selection. Beautiful handmade supplies (bags, cases, etc.) Workshops. Good neighborhood for shopping and lunch after you browse the knit store.

Best yarn shop in Philadelphia. No attitude like you find in the shops in Center City, more knowledge and no pressure. Well worth the trip.

I've always loved this store, but their new location is particularly gorgeous! Same great friendly staff (the friendliest and most helpful in the area, IMO), even more great selection. And more parking!

The new location is lovely place warm and friendly. The upstairs knitting lounge and class room is so cozy, I wish it was in my house. The yarn is still the great collection it always has been.

I agree with all of the comments posted! Again, this is a store that I always have to stop and check out. The new location is awesome and I definitely appreciate the improved parking. The selection is great, too!

AWESOME staff. I went in looking for "Brown Paper Bag Bulky Yarn", and seeing my obvious confusion a young lady there who was obviously doing stock, tracked it down for me. LUV IT! Besides that the cashier was chatty about the project I needed it for while the hank was being wound up. The shop is in a really cute neighboorhood and there is a pharmacy directly across the street that affords the store decent parking.. what more?

I was excited to visit until I saw that they were teaching the February Lady Sweater as a class and not crediting the designer. (Credited the original baby sweater designer instead, which totally discounts the work the new designer did in reworking it for adults.)
Now I'm sad.

We ran the February Lady Sweater class as a free Knit-Along (as all our Knit-Alongs are) and people used the pattern from Ravelry, which gave full credit to the designer. If we mentioned Elizabeth Zimmerman it was because she designed the original sweater and people are familiar with her name.
Just to clear that up.
