Parking is definitely a tricky business. There is parking in the back but only about four or five spots and the rest is along the narrow streets. When I entered, they were busy with other customers so I didn't get a royal welcome, but they did offer to help me should I have questions when they noticed I was there. The selections are amazing and there are transparent shoe-wear to show off your hand-knit socks.

Hello folks, dont waste your time. Could not park and you cant buy enough yarn for a sweater. The selection is skimpy and the help wont speak to you. Beth S.

I have had only good service at The Studio. The staff have been friendly and helpful to me, and there are some beautiful yarn selections.

possibly the best yarn store in kansas city! They have an incredible supply of yarn for any project. You can even sit and knit and visit if you have time.

I am going to the retreat this month. I am looking for the supply list. Can you send it to me?

There are few yarn stores in KC, so thank goodness for The Studio. I'm new to knitting and found the staff to be courteous and helpful. Parking is indeed tough in that neighborhood, but I'm willing to walk a couple of blocks to enjoy their wares.

Shop is interesting, sales associates were uninterested, very cliquish with established friends or customers. They've forgotten the importance of being approachable and just point out where things can be found, rather than showing a genuine interest. They were anxious to help those who made more substantal purchases rather than the modest purchasers who will always provide their "bread n butter" because they are consistent. Sad...really, they need to remember their roots, keep their heads out of the sky and focus on everyone.

I went in looking to buy a large quantity for a project and they acted like I was looking to steal the yarn. I will never return.

I love that this store has quarterly or monthly service projects for charity, however the unfriendliness of the staff has convinced me to buy my yarn elsewhere. I completely agree with the previous comments about the way people are treated. It is even worse if you have a young child with you. Toys and crayons are provided, but beware! Dirty looks are also included if the child touches them. Disappointing!

I've had good and bad experiences. I live in this area and it is definitely an upper class area and that is most of their customer base. I don't like that if I'm not carrying my Coach bag or wearing my Gucci glasses I get ignored!
I love the selection, but definitely have to be in the 'right' mood to deal with them. It's really too bad because they could do much better if they were friendly to all and not just a few....or if they weren't so consumed by the 'look' of their clientele.
