After a hectic day, walking into Susan's shop was like an oasis in a desert. There is a sweet spirit about this place that invites you in and helps work the kinks out. Whether you are an experienced knitter or a novice, spinner or weaver, you are welcome.

I recommend visiting this shop if you're in the area! The owner is very kind and they have a wonderful selection of spinning wheels. I bought my Kromski Sonata here. My favorite thing about this shop was all the locally produced fibers and dyed yarns that they had available!

Great Owner!
Great Selection-yarn, spinning wheels, supplies, etc...
Great atmosphere!!!!!!!!!!
Just Great!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thursday nights are great for chatting, getting project ideas, and just meeting like-minded people in a non-threatening environment.

This is the best local yarn store I've lived near, ever! (And I'm counting 4 regions of the U.S., one country in Europe and also Australia!)
It's a "living" store. There's always some new yarn or kit or project that catches my eye. Susan, the shop owner, never lets it get stale. I've got projects planned out for the entire year!
What never changes is the openness of the store and the people who come there to shop, work on crafts or just socialize. It's a no pressure zone with lots of support when you ask for it. It's a guaranteed good time and I look forward to dropping in at least once a week.
We've now switched from Thursday to Wednesday nights for evening knitting and chats. Stop by and join us!

This place is a virtual yarn SPA. Whether you need to shop for yarn, spinning fiber or tools of the trade, or just need to relax in good company, this is it!

Sassy Spinster is a haven for fiber artists of all kinds. Located in the fascinating Lancaster Historic Town Square, surrounded by wonderful antique shops and some of Dallas County's best eateries, it's a terrific get-away, where fiber, yarn, patterns, quilts,
artist's wares and vintage collectibles combine to make a unique experience for visitors.
The Wednesday night knitting/crochet/weaving/spinning group is blessed with laughter, easy conversation and shared inspiration.
Drop in for a good time and new friendships!

Attention spinners! This place has a fabulous selection of Texas raised fibers including rustics such as churro and Jacob, as well as luxury fibers. She also offers various preparations of silk, hand raised angora, and kid mohair. Her baby camel tussah silk fiber blend is sumptuous. There is a great selection of dye (as well as hand dyed goodies) and she also offers firestar that sparkles beautifully. Her carded Batts are beautiful as well. I even saw naturally colored cotton and hemp top. This is an official Kromski dealership and there are multiple wheels in the shop to look at. I almost keeled over from fiber fume euphoria, and I am a major natural fiber fan. I highly recommend this shop to all spinners. Susan, the owner is very patient, kind, and eager to teach. I will definitely be back next time I am in the area. The atmosphere is wonderfully welcoming and relaxing. Five Stars all the way around!
