I've only visited this shop during their Grand Opening a couple of weeks ago, but it definitely warrants another look.

I visited twice in January. They have a good selection and the owners were very friendly and helpful. I'll definitely be going back to restock the stash. They didn't have their cafe open yet but it should be soon.

Wonderful cozy atmosphere. All the help you could ask for without a feeling of pressure at all. Delicious coffee and very tempting yarns, books and supplies. A place I plan on frequenting regularly for sure.

Finally a 'close at hand' yarn store that carries Addis! Nice people too!

Lovely place to knit and browse without feeling cramped. Fair selection, sweet treats, comfy chairs, friendly folks. Accessible by buses from Pape or Donlands Stn. or streetcar from Queen Stn. Not so many interesting TO attractions nearby; more a place to sit and relax or use as your LYS.

I adore the Purl. Jen and Miko (the owners) are incredibly friendly, the Tuesday night Stitch & Bitch is an absolute blast, and their selection of yarn is reasonable for a smaller shop. They've got lots of sock yarn, a reasonable selection of laceweights, and offer amazing classes and workshops.

This is a wonderful place to sit and knit.
They are extremely welcoming, and always willing to help.
I've always been able to find something I love whenever I go in.

Don't forget to get some coffee and a treat while you're there, as the cafe is reasonably priced and delicious!
