The people have been friendly when I've gone in, and there are occasionally people sitting in the store and knitting, which is always nice. But their selection/stock isn't great (a lot of fancy/novelty yarns organized mostly by color rather than yarn type, and when I went in once they didn't even have cable needles!), and they're rather expensive. Overall, not a store I'd go to unless I didn't have another option and needed something _immediately._

Stores "organized" like this make me want to cry. They have 1 ball of each yarn on the shelf and it's all organized by color!

It is clear that the owner here is focused on expensive, unusual yarns for elaborate, Bill Cosby type sweaters. I have found there staff condescending and unwelcoming, but since I live in Menlo Park I wander through once in awhile.
I actually love the arrangement by color because I find it inspiring. It's helpful when I'm ready to start a gift for someone-- a scarf or hat. I would never go here for a sweater's worth of yarn.
