I don't know if this shop is still open. The woman who ran this store, Marge, lived upstairs and might have passed away. Marge if still around the store, is an amazing woman who emigrated from a nordic country, and grew up shearing sheep, spinning and knitting. Small, interesting space. Her son might be running the shop now.

Called the store today to get the hours. Sadly Marge passed away several years ago but het son and daughter are now running the shop. They are open on Tuesday thru Saturday from 10am - 6pm; Wednesday from 10am-8pm; Sunday 11am-5pm from now until Easter. The also have a website for additional information on their store and classes. The website address is www.theknitwith.com. Very interesting website.

Marge came here from Newfoundland, which, since 1948, has been part of Canada, not to my knowledge a Nordic country, though its two islands, St. Pierre and Miquilon, belong to France.

I visited last week and found it cramped on space, though they did have an amazing amount of stock (not all of it easy to see or touch). Expensive too, but the neighborhood probably supports the pricing.

Great service, I was trying to match a yarn for a Christmas project that I did not purchase enough. I called and the store did not carry the brand but the gentleman took the information and found it for me from another store. Saved the day and a beautiful scarf for my granddaughter.
