Very nice staff, however the knitting section is barely there. They are mostly a cross stitch and needle point shop with a SMALL walk in closet size room of yarn and books. The selection was VERY limited both in variety and in color within what they had. Again, they were VERY nice though. Looked like the selection of stuff in the other sections was good, but I don't do either of those crafts.

I agree with the last post.

The last I heard about this store was that it was closed. That was within the past couple of months. When I was in Winter Park in February, I did not see the sign.

I was at the shop in early April and it was very much open. I've heard they've switched owners since then, though.
The yarn section is small, and the staff (may have changed if there is a new owner) was very arrogant. My friend and I are young (17) and walked in off the street in jeans and a t-shirt and they acted like we weren't good enough for their service.

They have moved to 1322 N. Mills and the new shop is great. Worth a second look.

Great knitting classes and very knowledgeable instructor. The staff is always ready and willing to assist. Yarn inventory could be better. Definitely worth a visit.

Yarn is priced very high and there isn't much of it.

While still in the closet in the back, the selection is much better than it was on Park Ave. They have a very classy selection of interesting yarns. The cross stitch is still the main focus and the new location is so cheery.

Cross stitch is the main focus, but there is very nice yarn selection, its continuing to grow. Also, they're really nice about ordering special colours, etc. The staff wonderful, and the shop is very welcoming.

This is a unique yarn store. They may not have a large selection (since they also carry needlepoint and cross stitch) what they do have is incredible and constantly expanding. Beautiful colors, scrumptious feel and a wide range of prices. They are always adding new manufacturers to their mix and every time I go in there they have new stock in. They have a great staff that is helpful and friendly. Since they don't have a large selection they are very gracious in giving out information on the other yarn shops in the area. I recommend everyone make this a regular stop for getting their yarn fix.

This is a very nice store but as others have mentioned, the yarn selection is very small. This store is geared more to needlepoint than anything else and if you do needlepoint, their selection of threads is amazing. I loved the staff -- I was there on a busy day and they were still very welcoming and helpful.

The yarn selection is limited, but this is always the FIRST place I go for my knitting needs because the staff has really earned my loyalty. They are welcoming and eager to help. My (admittedly, well behaved) children are welcome in the shop. They remember me and go out of their way to accommodate me, even though I am not a big spender! Best of all, they carry Knitpicks needles in the store! Yes, it is a small shop, but well worth a visit.

I agree with the last poster about the yarn selection and staff, not so much the owner.
The attitude is more surly than friendly, and the prices are way out of line compared to other yarn shops. I don't know if I'd go there again even though it's nearest to me.
