I like this store, but they do often have a rather limited selection of needles.

This shop has a very limited selection of both yarn and needles.

Great Sales.

This is the only yarn store in the District. I buy yarn in Virginia and Maryland.

Nice shop! I agree with the others that the selection is rather limited.

I am VERY dissapointed with this shop. I drove there from VA, because they stated on the website that they are open Sundays from 12-5. When I got there (at 1pm on Sunday, May 24), the sign in the window did indeed reflect those hours, but the store was NOT open. The closed sign was in the window with no explanation.
From pressing my face into the window I could tell that it is very small, with a limited selection, but I still wanted to GO IN!
I would recommend calling before you travel there, since they appear to be closed randomly during their supposed operating hours.

The front of the store looks small but there's more in the back. Sure, it's not HUGE but it's easier to park and get to this store than some in the area. The service was great when I was there in the summer of 2009. Prices are high but welcome to DC. Would visit again if I was in the area.

Well one things for sure I’m never going to this lys ever again. the last thing I need while shopping is some 6 yo playing shopkeeper telling me everything I say and do is wrong. I would have walked out and yelled at the real owner, Which is what I should have done anyway, she was standing there while her niece was berating me. Clearly the owner hates repeat customers.

This shop has a very limited selection of both yarn and needles. Employees & customers were rude. I will never go back.

The shop has a VERY limited selection from previous visits, and the selections they do have are never enough to make more than a very small project -- getting multiple skeins in the same color is quite difficult. I am making this review because I headed there (from Virginia)on Oct. 1. After I parked on the street at paid the ridiculous $2 for metered parking, my mom and I are walking up the street when we see that the store is EMPTY. Someone had just carried a box outside into a moving truck. I asked what was going on and they said that they're moving to Tenley Town. I asked why it wasn't on their website because I had checked it before we left Fibre Space (GREAT LYS) in Alexandria. She (the owner, Marie) said that it wasn't updated because she couldn't figure it out, but that her FACEBOOK was updated. Who checks Facebook for a LYS you never go to?! Why wouldn't the website be updated?? So, when I did check their Facebook when I got home, she had posted on her Facebook at 9:24 that morning!!! How is that keeping your customers informed?! My mom and I had a Groupon each to use and when we make it up to their new location, we will NOT be returning.

Check Facebook under Stitch DC That seems to be the only place with updates. New location is a classroom setup that will sell yarn.
