I am a knitter (intermediate) and was thrilled to learn about your shop!! I work part-time at Sabrina Ann's on Ardmore Avenue. I belong to the Main Line Knitting Guild and another smaller group of knitters. Please send me any and all information about your shop. Knit Nights? Classes? will you have a staff member who can write patterns? where on Rittenhouse will you be located? What is your background in knitting? Great to have a local yarn shop!! Happy Knitting!!!

Hello Mary Ann,
I have been trying to reach you through the link on this page, but with no luck, so I will post info here.
Our location is 74 Rittenhouse Place, next to Lonni's Fabrics. We have enjoyed meeting several members of the Guild over the past month, especially at our Knit Night, which is on Wednesdays from 6-8 pm. We do offer classes, and have recently retained an excellent woman who writes instructions for customers upon request.
Hope to see you in the shop soon.
Regards,
Jo Ann

I have very mixed feelings about this shop. I love the atmosphere and lay-out, there isn't a huge yarn selection (it's a small space), but what she has is beautiful. What is incredibly frustrating though, is that this shop insists on holding its knitting night on the same night as the knititng night at the library! WHen I was in, I asked about it, and was rather brusquely told that she wouldn't change it. Left me with a very odd feeling about the place and her feeling about local knitters.

Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to write about our new shop. We appreciate your comments. We are fortunate to have quite a variety of knitting groups in our area, and there is bound to be some overlap in meeting times. I regret that we are unable to offer Knit Night at other times due to scheduling conflicts; I teach on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, and Main Line School Night holds classes here on Monday nights. Please know that customers are welcome to stop in to knit (as many do, regularly) at any time during regular business hours.

Thanks for the tip this morning on where to find Noro yarn. Loop on South Street did not have ANY, apparently, so I googled the web site and discovered FrouFrou in Berwyn, which has a whole wall of Noro yarns. (They not only had the color, they had the right dye lot!)
