Very knowlegable staff, friendly, and always eager to sit down with customers and help them with "knit emergencies".
Fantastic selection. Wish they were open on Sunday

Darling shop with wonderful selection of yarns, books, etc. Very helpful staff. I especially like the wide variety of ages and interests of the staff so you can always find someone you are comfortable with.

As of 7/27/08, they ARE open on Sundays. Selection is hard to beat. Helpful staff.

They were very friendly and helpful for a new knitter. The only weirdness I had was when I asked about cheap aluminum needles because that's what I was learning on.

Great selection of yarns, especially natural fibers! Very helpful staff! And just blocks away from where I work, so I can browse on my lunch hour! I am a happy crocheter!

This is my LYS! Great selection of supplies and luscious yarns! Classes are frequent and taught by talented instructors. A definite must-stop if you are in Eugene!

I had a weird experience there and did not get a good vibe from the staff. I had a gift certificate which the owner of the store looked down her nose at me for. ??? What is the point of offering gift certificates if your going to be rude about them coming in??? The yearn was plentiful and over prices. Actually everything was over priced. A first time experience that has left me not wanting to return.

This is one of my favorite yarns shops. I have going here for years. They are doing it all right! Next time I'm there I'll try and get some pictures of the house, it's Yummy.

Soft Horizons hosted the stitch and pitch in August 2008. The provided a fun venue with great food and good company. I enjoyed a nice discount at the store the next day. Lovely selection!

Staggering selection of yarns - floor to ceiling, wall to wall! Some nice raw Romney fleece from a local shepherdess. They carry Ashford spinning products as well as basketry supplies. Prices are MSRP, but they do have an "orphan bin" with lots of goodies to be found.

As my darling grandaughter Sequoia, daughter-in-law and son live in Eugene, I make the short 550 mile drive several times a year. And EVERY time, I have to stop at Soft Horizons - one of the best LYS I've had the joy of visiting.
The staff are invariably helpful, and they give you space to pet the yarn and make your choices without feeling pressured. Amazing variety of yarns, as well as roving, and the prices are fair - great yarn is expensive!
