I've heard several friends complain that the owner is at times brusque or bordering on rude, but I have never experienced this. Be sure to check out the sale room in back. I like the store and though it doesn't have an enormous selection, I will shop there again and again.

I like the shop, too. They have an interesting selection of yarns, including great sock yarns. The owner has always been friendly and helpful when I've been there.

This is an AWFUL shop. I had to push boxes out of the way to look at some yarn, and then I slipped on a plastic bag.
There was no place for me to put anything down as tables and registers were covered with yarn, boxes, books, etc.. It was horribly crowded and dark in this store.
I bought a $35.00 skein of yarn only to be told I would have to wind it myself!! I was the only customer in the store! I have been knitting for 20 years and NEVER have I had to wind my own yarn! I will never shop at this store again. There are other yarn shops close enough to drive to and this yarn shop doesn't have anything to distinguish it from any other shop.
Don't waste your time - go to another store to get the same yarn - and much better customer service.

I have 2 experiences in this horrible shop:
I went there once when I was first learning how to knit. I was a high school student, and was treated like it. I felt talked down to and age discriminated, and swore I'd never go there again.
10 years later, I figured maybe I'd give it another try. Still disappointed! I echo the comment above me in that it was crowded, things were covered, and it was not very well lit. The non-existent customer service, limited selection, and lack of atmosphere ensure that I will not give it another try, even if it manages to last another 10 years.

I agree that the greeting and service there is NOT good ...especially by the owner...unless you know you want to buy something !! THe others seem to be friendly and helpful but I wouldn't go there unless I knew what I wanted and there was a good sale !

They have a decent selection of novelty yarns, and spendy you-wind-them-yourself artisan yarns. Store hours are short and inconvenient, customer service is intimidating at best most of the time. I occasionally buy a novelty button or needles there, or a skein or two of yarn for small projects, because it's near where I go for some other shopping.

When I went here, it was probably 80 degrees in there! I could hardly shop because I was so HOT! The lady that was there was helpful. I have been there before and received good service, but the shop is crowded, and hard to navigate. If your looking for specialty yarn, there are a few other places that have a much bigger selection, and easier-to-shop atmosphere.

I love this store. I am new to knitting, have been in the store multiple times, and have always had a great experience. The owner has helped me understand instructions and recommended alternative yarns. It can be busy and sometimes I've had to wait more than a couple of minutes for assistance but I don't mind because the expertise is well worth it.

Its my favorite yarn shop. The owner has always taken the time to help me and explain things that I need to know. She along with her help have gone out of their way to help me.I haave recieved the best help in this shop and look forward to shopping there. I can't say enough good about this shop.

The hours are inconvenient, the staff is rude and the selection is small. I've shopped there twice because it's in the same shopping center as another store I go to and I refuse to go back. I bring my son (an infant) with me (I'm a stay at home mom so my son goes everywhere with me) and they couldn't get me out the door fast enough. That's perfectly fine with me, I want to go into a store and see yarn, not piles of boxes and clutter everywhere.

The hours are very inconvenient, though that's true of many yarn stores. The selection is odd - lots of novelty/artisan yarns, and some basics, though never in enough quantity to do anything with. The store is very difficult to navigate - stuff is piled everywhere, and the shop is dominated by a table in the middle, where the owner and 1 or 2 friends sit knitting and talking. They pretty much ignore all who enter the store except other friends, or folks they peg as an easy mark (e.g. easily talked into buying expensive items - well-off, but unknowledgeable new knitters). It's a VERY uncomfortable place to shop.
