This is one of my favorite shops in the US. They are friendly, have a good selection and I can and have spent hours in there. I like to stop whenever I can.

Completely agree--I live in Manhattan, and Sheep's Clothing is better than any shop I've been to there. I stopped in for quick advice on altering a pattern to suit a different yarn; the ladies insisted that I knit combo swatches of my yarn with three others to see how they looked, and were so helpful that I picked up several new tips and tricks. I wish they weren't so far away!

Wonderful store, helpful people... and I love all the finished projects on display. The first time I walked in, I saw a finished scarf that I LOVED. I bought the supplies to make my own on the spot! Wish it was closer to home (South Bend)!

Let me just say that I am *very spoiled* having a LYS less than a mile from my home that suits my yarn-snob tastes. But my family tent camps and one of my caveats is that I agree to sleep on the ground in exchange for a visit to a yarn shop near our camping destination.

So it was that I stumbled (drenched and freezing, as it were!) into Sheep's Clothing a few weeks ago with my men in tow. What a treat! Not only is there a hearty selection of wool and luxury fibers to whet my yarn-snob appetites, the real treat here was the selection of books! Can I tell you how long "Knitted Tams" by Mary Rowe has escaped my grasp? Sheep's Clothing had four copies in stock! And buttons - so many unique buttons...

This yarn store is definitely worth a visit. It's worth driving out of your way for. Not only that - it's worth an extended drive to go to the classes they offer. Helpful staff, great selection, cozy atmosphere - **LOVED IT!**

This is a great store- large selection. Clerk- who I think is the owner -was extremely helpful, worked with me and other customers without effort and managed to help me find what I had been looking for at multiple shops and I left with a purchase that I was really excited about, couldn't wait to start knitting! I will go back.

I am positive different people make the color choices at this store. It provides a nice balance for all to choose from.

Not the most individual colors, but the broadest range of Koigu KPPPM I have seen in one place.

This is a beautiful, incredibly well-stocked store with superior yarns, notions, classes, and excellent customer service. The minute you walk in, you'll fall in love with the warm, vintage look-and-feel.

There are TONS of finished projects on hand so you can see how something will look before you begin.

There is no such thing as a silly question. If you've purchased a pattern or supplies from Sheep's Clothing, the ladies there are happy to help you with any questions you may have. I know, I've asked plenty of them!

Sheep's Clothing is in Downtown Valparaiso, Indiana, which is a delightful shopping/dining area. If you're new to Valparaiso, be sure to budget some time to visit the surrounding stores and restaurants.
