    Hey Ladies and Gents!
Last year I purchased blue sky alpaca from y'all to make an exquisite turkish cape (see attached) you really came through for me on the yarn! Today, it was my turn to be the unfortunate knitter who didn't get enough yarn for her project to finish the project. Oh...if you have Malabrigo in 150 Azul profundo PLEASE alert me so I may get it sent over here! And fast too. You are great. If you can help, yes! If not, well, check out what I made with the yarn you sent. I made this cape, and then I realized I can do ANYTHING!
Thank you kindly, your fan, Liz XOXO

If you are a bit claustrophobic, take your meds before you got into Purl. It is itsy-bitsy, but well worth the visit. The selection ranges from Blue Sky Alpaca to Habu and the service is fairly good. If you don't see enough of the yarn you want, chances are they have more in the basement storeroom so ask. After you finish with Purl, check out Purl Patchwork for a fabric fix and Once Upon a Tart for some well needed nourishment.

I make a trip to Purl whenever I'm visiting the fam back home. Love their wall of koigu with a passion. Everyone is helpful and kind. Kind of like the cute little-ness of the shop. Floor to ceiling yarn is an awesome thing to behold. Was searching for a discontinued rowan colorway and the girl who was helping me got up on a step ladder and was literally digging through the yarn and checking every label. Love this store!

It's a tiny little jewel box of wonderfulness - and I do mean tiny. Don't make my mistake and bring all sorts of packages in there - you want your hands free to explore their goods. For it's small size - they pack in so many wonderful yarns I had to restrain my self... until I go back again...

Too tiny but love it otherwise.

Purl is a world-wide web celebrity. Everyone that takes a trip to the Apple makes this a sure pit-stop. And they have good reasons to do so, for it does not disappoint. The staff really is as helpful as helpful can be, and the selection is also inspiring, with lots of non-usual suspects stacked high to the ceiling. It is indeed true that this is a very tiny shop and that a few a people make it feel overcrowded. The actual issue is that a few are actually very many indeed. I visited on two occasions back in February and counted more than twenty people through the door on each visit, and I only stayed half an hour each time. The selection of books is rather limited, as is the one of associated supplies such as needles, hooks or buttons, but check out their website and find more online. Go with a pattern and no clue, as I did, and come away with all the yarn you need and more. Purl is one of the few shops that sell more than items to its customers; it sells a service. Lovely throughout. For more about Purl, check out http://domestic-miss.blogspot.com/2008/02/knit-virgin.html

I'd read about Purl online before I visited NY and knew, just *knew* that I'd have to stop in. I'm glad I did. The other reviewers are right, this place is *small*, but it packs a lot of atmosphere in there and the selection is great. And, a wall of Koigu? Are you kidding me? Love!
