This Pacific Fabrics is a great place to shop for afghan yarn. They have a good selection of acrylic sorted by color. They usually have an interesting selection of yarns from novelty to high end yarns. The focus of this shop is more for the sewing enthusiast so their yarn section is small but like I said it is interesting. I used to stop in just to see their selection because you'd find stuff that wasn't other stores. However due to poor service I refuse to set foot in the shop. There is one lady there that sniffs her nose up at me every single time I've come in. I had a run in with her during a class (she was a fellow student) and will never darken their door again.

This is mainly a fabric store of course. There are some nice yarns. Accessories are limited. I agree with the other reviewer, the service is terrible. Over the years I've been there three times and it's always been the same - no one says hello, can I help you, thanks for coming in, have a nice day, and they act you are bothering them if you ask for help or want to make a purchase. Will not be setting foot in there again.

The Bellevue Pacific fabrics has a significantly better selection of yarns than your average craft store. It also has a better selection than most the other Pacific Fabrics stores. An entire wall of gorgeous wool, wool blends and specialty yarns.
Sure, they still have Vanna's choice and Lion Brand, but it's relegated to the back corner.
Huge selection of gorgeous sock yarns, and hand dyed and specialty yarns.
Don't shop there on weekends, it's a zoo. IF however, you need a little knitting help, stop in during regular weekday hours and talk with JULIE, the yarn section manager and very helpful expert knitter. As with all yarn stores, patience and courtesy will gain you tips and advice to get you past a tricky problem in your project.
Pacific Fabrics even has a twice monthly evening knitting help drop in 'class' for FREE with an amazingly talented teacher who can easily answer whatever tricky little problem you might have.
