A nice store, although being a newbie I did find it a bit intimidating - but that was my fault, not theirs! Nice selection, nice staff, definitely need to stop by again soon!
Edited to add: I've been back there since then and each time the staff have been friendly, helpful, and lovely. And the knitters there seem pretty friendly too!

Won't wind yarn - feels like you are always being told to take
a class when asking a question. There are plenty of other shops that are willing to look at your problem with a project you bought THERE and give advice. Was told I would have to take another class series to look and see if I was seaming correctly.

the owner is very nice, it's a cute little store if you like a calmer LYS experience. The owner seems to always be making an effort to keep in new and interesting yarn, and they have great sales. One time I went the day before a sale and she gave me the discount because I would be unable to attend the sale the next day. very good customer service.

This is a small shop, with good selection of plymouth and cascade. Not a whole lot of handyed. It's on the smallish side, so I wouldn't make a special trip to go there. But if I was nearby and needed something to make a project with, I could probably find something.

unique selection of yarns. I liked this shop a lot. If I lived closer I'd go all the time!

They certainly WILL wind your yarn for you. They will also let you wind your own yarn if you need to. They are ALWAYS willing to help. If you are looking to learn something advanced, that will take quite a bit of time, it is only to be expected that they direct you towards a class. They answer simple questions all the time for me and give me advice on my knitting. But learning how to seam a sweater is definitely not a "simple" question and it is only appropriate to take a class to learn that technique.
It's a great store and I highly recommend it. It is on the small side, but you can find a suitable, delicious yarn for any project! AND she has Knit Witch yarn which is hand dyed locally (and awesome).

Checked out this shop on visit to Alpharetta. Nice little shop. One long wall of color. Monday afternoon, so was pretty quiet in there. Good customer service, would visit again when in Atlanta again.

After ready all the reviews about this little shop, I was sadly disappointed. Sure, the owners are nice, but the rest of the store was just lacking, in my opinion.
The organization was poor, and while it's very nice of the wife to give one-on-one lessons of how to knit, it makes trying to find things difficult when her husband knows nothing of the yarns in stock. (Not downing him, his words, not mine)
Also, they didn't have much variety, in fibre or color. I was more disappointed by this fact than the lack of knowledge. They have an entire wall of yarn, but it's all cotton blends (with a small cornor for other fibers and 2 shelves for art yarn) and almost no blues or greens.
Overall, I wouldn't call this a bad shop, but it's definitely a specialized shop that I wouldn't visit unless unless I had a project in mind

I enjoy visiting this shop. The owners are so friendly and helpful. The displayed projects are inspiring. The yarn selection is well-organized and the tool selection is good. I have taken friends here to yarn shop.
