I've been here a few times with uneven results in the service I've received. Today, I lucked out and was waited on by the owner. She was very helpful. It's heaven when one can ask questions and receive useful, intelligent information. She helped me select my yarn and work out the math in my head. Can't ask for better than that. And we had a lovely discussion about needles. Nothing beats a LYS when you need to pick up a skein of yarn for a quick project.

I shop here rarely, because nothing in the store is priced. If I have to ask the price of every item in the store the shopping experience gets old really fast. The stock is unique in that the owner keeps enough inventory to actually make entire garments. This seems like a basic idea, but there was another store in the area for years that never had enough of any type yarn to make anything larger than a pair of socks or mittens. Rowan yarns are featured here and if you like them this is your place. Since I find them over-priced for most of my needs I think I have made only one large purchase here in the last five years. This is my closest yarn store, so I do go when I need needles or some basic supply that can't be purchased at the local fabric or big box craft store closer to home.

Wow. Rude. More interested in gossiping with each other than helping, or even greeting, customers. Selection was average and prices were on the high side.

What a WONDERFUL experience! Great selection and terrific service too! I went in for needlepoint and decided to take up knitting again with the available assistance when/if I goof up the pattern! Love small shops like this!
