Notes
Located just a few miles south of downtown Portland, Oregon, Multnomah Village offers shopping, restaurants, an art center, and plenty of free parking. We are also on the Tri-Met bus line so from downtown you can take bus #40 or #44 and it stops right in front of our store.
The store carries a large selection of yarns, as well as spinning and felting fibers. They also carry Ashford, Kromski, Louet, and Schacht spinning wheels.

NW Wools has knowledgeable & cheerful staff. Both my knitting and attitude are improved after stopping by the shop!

Although tiny, this place rocks for selection! My only wish is that there was a place to have coffee because I live so close. Then again, my family might never see me if they did.

Staff is super friendly and incredibly knowledgeable. I make a point of going here at least twice a year - which says a lot as I never hit this side of town.

I was lucky enough to live in the same neighborhood for some time, and I visited this store many times. This was the first place I ever fondled Manos, Mission Falls, and Rowan yarns. This was my first introduction to the idea of actually spinning yarn... people still do that?! An eye-opener for me at the time. This store is one of the treasures of Multnomah Village.

Visited them recently on the 2011 PDX Knit Crawl! My sister and I visited all twenty stores in two days! I've been going here for years, in fact my grandmother used to take me here as a kid.
They have not only a great selection of yarns organized by color, but also a really good selection of wool for spinning, in great colors, hand dyed, and undyed. It seems like they are expanding their fiber selection, as I'm seeing some unique new products every time I go in! I love that they have a husband couch, so mine doesn't feel the need to pressure me while I fondle fibers.
I've never taken classes here, but always mean to, I just can't access them as easily as I used to.
I give them my "Old Reliable" award, they are really just a great store and have been for years.

Small but Mighty! Visited as part of the 2013 Rose City Yarn Crawl and loved the friendly and knowledgable staff! They were very well organized for the influx of customers and it was easy to browse. Northwest Wools shows that experience pays off!
