This is one of the lovliest stores. Pat, the owner, is friendly and always willing to help. She has a great assortment of fine yarns. :)

I love this shop. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I have crocheted for a year and a half and just started knitting. I stopped by just to see what they have and felt so welcome that I got out my new project to show them. They looked it over and helped me see how to fix a mistake, even though I had not bought a thing there. They were not pushy and did not tell me that I needed to buy anything, just very helpful. I felt at ease to come back later and purchase some Addi Turbo's. (I don't think I will be frequenting other LYS after this because at other place I usually feel unwelcome unless I flash some cash, and get told to take a class for my questions.) While I was there people just kept dropping in to sit and knit together. Another first time knitter came in with a project she had bought and started in FL, they helped her cast off and brought her in to their group. It has such a great small town atmosphere! I did ask about classes and found that they hold a Sat class from 10-12 to help people with whatever they need to learn for only $10 a session. I am definitely going to be doing that.

I have visited yarns shops all over from Ga. to L.A. This one is just charming. Sue is such a nice person and so helpful, along with the rest of the staff. The yarns are top quality at reasonable prices, and you have such a wide variety to choose from. I can't wait to go back! It is so nice to do business with people who are kind and eager to help.

What I like most about Mountain Yarn is the wonderful customer service and warm cozy atmosphere. I stopped in Mountain Yarn a few months ago. Shelia helped me choose a vest pattern, the yarn and put me in her Saturday class. Sheilia teaches knitting on Saturdays and is available several days during the week if you have a question. I love my vest. I went on to make a different color for my daughter. I stopped in the other day and saw a black vest with red tulips/green stems and asked if my skills would be good enough to make one. Sheila said yes, sold me the yard, pattern and set me up for Saturdays class. Their selection of yarns is amazing. Color and textures out of this world. They have all the supplies like needles etc. The prices are good. This is a friendly and customer oriented shop. A great adventure. Stop in and see for yourself.

This is my favorite LYS. They have great prices and great service. I only wish I could get up to Bville more often! I was excited to note on my last visit that they would be expanding the area of their shop and their selection of yarn. They already have a decent selection of NORO, Cascade 220, JoJoLand, Rowan, ect. and if they don't have what you are looking for or the color you would like they will suggest reasonable substittutions or happily order exactly what you want. I can't wait to see what they will be bringing in. It's a great place for the fiber addict.
