mcneedles is an okay store, quite a relief to not have to drive across the lake for yarn, but it's more of a traditional knitter's place. i wish it were more geared towards younger knitters with more modern patterns and more variety of yarns.

WOW! It was amazing to fing such an extensive selection in an out of the way place....but, really, just a couple of minutes from I-12 near Mandeville. This is a destination shop for any knitter on the Gulf Coast. Pam is making sure there is something for everyone, and this cozy, wonderful little house is packed to the rafters. YUM. I notice the "okay store" comment is from shortly after the store opened. I think anonymous would be surprised to see it now.

I am thrilled we have a yarn shop on the Northshore. McNeedles cames beautiful yarn and gives you lots of different choices. There is something for everyone!

We love McNeedles and the knitting family that is there. Pam always takes really good care of us and we pay her utility bills each time we visit. Just a note: We live 2 hours from her shop and visit on a regular basis!

It is reassuring to know that McNeedles has a qualified, skilled, pleasant, and patient teacher to teach knitting. Cherie is excellent. If you want lessons she is the one to see.

McNeedles is absolutely wonderful. They get new yarn often enough to keep me coming in (even if I'm on a yarn diet) and have great sales every so often. Pam is so friendly and welcoming and remembers a lot of people by name. The rest of the staff is friendly as well. Everyone is willing to help if you have a problem or question. Pattern books, yarn selection, needle selection and button selection are all great. They also have tons of cute little accessories for your knits or for your knit kit. All around, a wonderful store "right around the corner".
