My favorite LYS for sure. One of the smaller stores in town without the space for a mind-boggling selection, but the space is well used, with carefully selected, beautiful natural fiber yarns. Wonderful natural light throughout. Far and away the friendliest, most welcoming, most helpful vibe I've found in any yarn store -- maybe in any store ever.

I love this store! The atmosphere is so inviting and welcoming. I would love to sit and knit there all day. The owner is extremely helpful and encouraging and the selection was wonderful. I will definitely be spending much time here whenever I visit the Portland area.

Visited them recently on the 2011 PDX Knit Crawl! My sister and I visited all twenty stores in two days! Though the parking in this part of town is a little dodgy we found a spot and were glad we did. The store truly is full of natural light, and they have some amazing yarns.
The ladies were so friendly, and even talked to us about the projects they were working on. For the knit crawl they gave out a lovely cowl pattern, that's just waiting for me to be finished with some projects so I'll have the time.
I give them my "For the Greatest Good" award, as I've never seen a larger section of yarn for charity knitting, they donate the goods knit to great causes, and them providing donated yarn and a place to sit, just makes it easier to knit for those less fortunate, when you may be having some misfortune yourself.
