This store consists of a house and a large garage. The house is devoted to quilting fabric and supplies, but the garage is filled with yarn and knitting notions. A wide variety of brands with a lot of books, magazines, and individual patterns as well.

This store is a quilting store - with yarn. My opinion is they don't want knitters. They never seem to have anyone working that knows anything about knitting or yarn. There is no place to sit and knit and I feel rushed to get in, pick out, buy and get out. Before a store opened in Cumming I drove to Ellijay to buy yarn because I wouldn't go to this store that is only 5 miles from my house. Clearly she has no interest in knitters.

I visited Magical Threads on a trip through North Georgia. We traveled almost an hour out of our way to stop there because it was listed as open on Sundays on this website. It was not open. I was very frustrated and disappointed.
