I love this place, it's my favorite store in the city. Very welcoming atmosphere, helpful service (although a little dependent on who is working), Vicki and Lisa are wonderful, and they have an awesome sock yarn collection. Books, magazines, lessons, the works. Friday night knitalong, too, although you can come knit whenever.

Have visited here on several trips to Chicago. Always a warm friendly welcome and a great selection. Have had to return to Chicago to get Christmas presents after sister and mother saw all my new stuff :-)

I love this shop. It's right outside the Loop. Nice place to sneak to on lunch hour. Great hours. I have never been disappointed. Very helpful staff and beautiful selection.

Chicago desperately needed this yarn shop!! I think it has best selection of hand-dyed yarn in the city, and carries a broad range of high quality lines and price points in a huge range of colors. It's great for a lunch escape on I-can't-take-this-anymore days at the office and I can always find something new that needs to come home with me. It is equally welcoming to everyone (not just a clique of shop regulars -- we've all seen that happen in yarn shops, right?) and the staff gets the balance of "helpful" and "just let me shop in peace" just right.

This is a "must do" on my list whenever we visit Chicago! I love the selection of yarns - different enough than my local selection to make it really fun. The times I have visited, the people have been friendly and just the right amount of helpful. Great Shop!

This is my neighborhood yarn store, I live 3 blocks away...which is dangerously close. Always new fibers to look at and purchase, great selection and price points, good people.

I was in Chicago last week for a quick little vacation. I found this shop on knitmap and decided I would check it out. My husband and I set out to find it (after a trip to the comic book store for him) and found that is was a little bit of a walk from our hotel. It was well worth the walk! What a great shop! I ended up buying some sock yarn and some needles and one of their canvas bags with their logo on it. It is a great souvenir from the shop. I hope to visit again when I travel to Chicago next.

This is my favorite yarn store in the city. Vicki, Lisa..Meg, Zoe - all the ladies there are SO nice and they truly value their customers and treat them as friends. I have to travel 2 buses and a train to get there but it's still my first yarn destination.

I love loopy yarns!! The ladies there are very sweet - they always wind your yarn for you. I always stop there when I am in the city - definitely worth the cab fair.

What a great yarn store! I was in town for a conference and had been told about the store by a recent acquaintance. Great selection of yarns, supplies, books, etc. The staff was friendly and helpful - spending a couple of hours unraveling some lace weight yarn I purchased. Couldn't believe they'd spend the time! I'll be back the next time I'm in town.

This is the ideal LYS. They carry a wide variety of yarn, patterns and accessories, but are also very friendly and helpful. Vicki and her staff treat you like friends every time you walk in. It's not unusual for knitters to come and just sit, knit and talk. Plus, they are located in the Loop. Their events and Friday gatherings are a lot of fun!
