good yarn selection though quite costly, service is lacking if you don't make a purchase

Good if you need higher end / specialty items.

Very small with limited seating space. Good yarn selection but service is poor.

This yarn store is pretty good. They expanded into a bigger space, so it's not small and cramped anymore. I can't figure out the method of organization, but there are a lot of good yarns here regardless, if you're just willing to look through it. The clearance shelf is great and service is not bad. In my experience they tend to let the customer be the lead. This is good, as I hate being pestered by staff! Private and public classes are available and there's a sit & knit night too! I have been there when people pop in on their lunch break just to sit and knit a moment. The parking lot is a little cramped, but it's in a neat area.

I love this store. Everybody is so nice and helpful! People are allowed to come in with questions or who need help even if the yarn or pattern weren't bought at the store. There are lots of different kinds of classes, too. And Judy Sumner, who is a nationally known designer, is there to help people with problems for free three times a week. People come in and sit and eat and just visit! It's great!

I wanted to check out this store for a couple of reasons. One...I am looking for a knitting community and two...the negative comments on this blog made me even more curious. Usually, folks who are negative are fairly unhappy people anyway and certainly need to be loved on! I found this to be a great shop. I was greeted immediately by the shops "Walmart Greeter!" What a pleasure and blessing to meet this lady. I also met the owner of the shop and she too was fabulous. She helped me personally and gave me a mini class right on the spot. I had the pleasure of sitting and learning from 4 other wonderful ladies who made me feel right at home. Thank you very much for allowing me to spend time in your shop! Everyone was extremely helpful to this stranger. I will definitely be shopping/knitting with Loopville! :D

Paid a visit to Knoxville. The highlights were the Art Museum and Loopville. Great service, terrific yarn assortment. Wish we had such a store here in Greer, SC.

Is this the store that was once Knit N' Purl? I learned how to knit there in the early 1990's. Oh, it was such a great store! And even if it is not the same one,, it sounds wonderful!
