This store is incredible! I felt like I was in yarn heaven. One of the best selections of yarn in the Chicago suburbs.
I had probs finding the store hours online. The store hours are Tues thru Sat. 11 to 4.
It looks small from the outside but don't be fooled. It is LARGE with an AMAZING inventory that is very well organized.
It seemed like there was every quality yarn brand available.
Noro, koigu, rowan, lorna's, colinette, manos, mountain colors, lambs pride, artyarns supermerino and SO MUCH MORE!

Beautiful store and a great selection of yarn intermingled with antiques etc...Unfortunatly, the woman (owner?) working that day was not very friendly or welcoming. If she had been, I would have purchased more than my $4.00 item. There is great potential there- it would be a shame it see it wasted because of an unfriendly person!

Nice selection of yarns. I only ventured in here once because I wasn't sure it was a knitting store right away.

Definitely a HUGE store with a great selection. Lots of coloways on a wide variety of yarn companies/lines. Seem to recall a "no returns" sign on the door though which caught me off guard - I've seen stores not allow returns on books/patterns/needles - but never the yarn. I like to be able to return an extra ball/skein if not used in the project.

Great selection of yarn but... the shop lighting could be improved. They only turn the lights on when someone comes in and there aren't enough of them. It's very dark in the back half. Also, they only take cash or checks - so no impulse buying! Also, no returns at all. Owner could be more friendly; between cash only and no returns you feel like they are not sure they want your business.

I've been there a few times. Terri (the owner) gets more friendly as she gets to know you. She has an amazing selection of yarn, but most prices are not marked and you have to ask her for the price.

One of the most amazing selections of gorgeous yarn I've ever seen in a LYS. However, not the most customer-friendly place. No returns, no credit cards, no classes, and some hesitance to offer technical support.

What a disappointment this was after visiting the other yarn shop just a couple blocks away. While this store had a vast selection, the lady sitting there knitting was extremely unfriendly to the point of rudeness. She had an adorable little sheltie there and when I inquired as to whether the dog was a girl or a boy, all I got was a very short and rude "She's afraid of you, she doesn't like you." Well, alrighty then. While this store did have yarn that the other store right down the street didn't have, I will not be going back. I prefer to support the local businesses who are at least courteous to their customers.

Wow this store could be FREAKING GREAT. Good lighting, great selection of yarn with lots of colors available of each. Wish the yarns were a little better marked with prices, but it's not as bad as other stores I've been at. The oddest things was that owner wasn't open to friendly bantor. As said above, no credit cards taken, I wrote a check and had to write it out to a PERSON, very shady to say the least. If you have a store front, you should have a business bank account.

Visited the store yesterday. Great selection of yarn, but terrible service. Know your prices before entering...we were charged $25 for a skein of Miss Mohair that normally retails for $15. Cash sale...no receipt...no returns...hummmmm. She was also charging $8 for a XEROXED copy of a Two Old Bags pattern!!! Shame on her...

This store has a huge variety of popular yarns including noro silk garden, mochi, cascade, brown sheep, plymouth, artYarns, mountain colors, pagewood, zaur-ball - and many more - also plenty of novelty yarns, if that's your thing. She has some books, standard notions and carries Hiya Hiya needles. Pros: The store is well organized and has a ton of knitted and crocheted examples. The store is well lit, so they must have improved the lighting complained about in older posts. The woman in charge the several times I have been in has been pleasant. Cons: Many items are not priced and I advise asking, as I have purchased a couple of things that were higher than I have seen in other stores - expect retail, at least. This store does not accept debit or credit cards and there are no returns and no receipts, which is just odd. During one of my first visits, most of the sale was lost because I had less than $20 cash. The store also has some gifty/home decor odds and ends that are unrelated to fiber-y pursuits.

I just love this store BUT you get no help from the owner . If she would rather be some place else then get someone else in there to work and I bet your sale would sky rocket. I know I would go back if I found out someone else was working.
It's a real shame to have such a great store yet act like people that come in are a bother.
So where do we end up going ? Down the street or even towns over just so we will get the help we may need. You know .... when I get ready to go out to get more yarn , I can't wait to get in the store and have the time of my life looking around , buying, etc. but after I walked in this store my fun was over.....bummer .
Put it up for sale if you don't want it ...... before you kill it
