This store is worth the drive. It is good size store. They have excellent selection of yarn, notions, and books. The owners are really nice. Joan will help you with any problems. The atmosphere is 5+. The selections is 5+. The service is a 5+. I can't wait to check out some of Joan's classes.

I'm so glad this store was listed on Knitmap! I was in the area for a business trip and decided to drop in. Very helpful & knowledgeable staff. Amazing selection of knitting supplies - the best I've seen - having supplies from different manufacturers means you can choose the one that best fits your budget and personal preferences. And the yarn! Amazing range - in terms of price, quality, fibre and colours - with very good pattern support. Knitters in the London/St. Thomas area are so lucky to have such a store in the area.

Since January, 2010, the Little Red Mitten has become my "home away from home"...I took my first class with Joan last year after my 3-year old son pointed out their sign (a huge red mitten with a sheep–cute!) and wanted to go in. "But, that's a yarn store, honey, we don't want to go in there," I said, but he insisted, so in we went. And I have to say, I was AMAZED by what I found inside.

A plethora of yarn (yum!), knitting and crocheting tools to satisfy the pickiest palettes, patterns galore, books, even spinning supplies, wheels, weaving supplies and looms...oh, for more hours in a day!

They offer classes too, for all skill levels...from beginner (I couldn't knit a stitch last year when I took Joan's Basics Class) to Intermediate, there's something for everyone. Keep your eyes peeled for the occasional spinning or weaving class, Ravelry class, even crochet and old-school hooking classes are offered on occasion.

And the staff? A virtual delight at every turn–knowledgeable, helpful, fun and friendly...everything you could ask and then some...a community of friends awaits you...stop by and see what I'm talking about...it's worth the drive from anywhere!

This ain't your Gramma's yarn store, that's for sure...but she'd approve!

Beautiful store, with a wide variety of selections from yarn, accessories and pattern books.
I drove by this store a number of times and did not stop in until a couple of weeks ago.
I was very impressed with the friendlyness of the staff and how helpful they were.
The store is much larger than what it appears from the outside. I was amazed with every turn I took while in the store that there was another room filled to the brim with goods.
Since frequenting the store I have been back a couple of times to pick up goods.
A must see and worth the drive to St.Thomas!
