This store has an amazing selection of yarn. The owner is also very friendly and helpful. The classes are the best deal in town, and if you have not crocheted or knitted before, they offer free beginning classes every month. The only downside is that when there are classes or a group, it may get a bit cramped. Nonetheless, this is one of my favorite stores to go to!

I'm not a fan. The owner sold me some yarn on sale, and when I came back a few weeks later to buy another skein (desperate to complete my project), strangely the yarn was again full price. I hope she's glad she got that extra $7, because she'll never see a dime from me again.

Errr... I worked in retail for 5 years (before movin' on up; it's not uncommon to place items temporarily on sale. Every retail store that sells goods of any kind does this (some more often than others).
So no, it isn't strange. Simply a misunderstanding on your part.
