I would without question claim Maria's yarnshop to be the hottest spot in Stockholm. Not only is she the most skillful knitter as a shop-owner, but she has a great nose for trends. She colours, dye's and experiment with new and wonderful yarn in her shop, and loves experimenting with new natural fibers. She holds a lot of classes, knit-cafes, and is always ready to help. High quality yarn in the store with emphasis on natural fibers and wool. Tons of patterns, books and knitted and crochet items, this, somewhat small shop will keep you busy. The window display occasionally holds unique knitted exhibitions, but are always worth an extra stroll. Service is of course great, and Maria will great you with a hug when she gets to know you! Since she has ambitions, this also means a lot of other people can be found behind the counter: Maria's great daugthers, the skilled estonian Lace Knitter Triinu, and friends jumps in. Only minus I can think about is she does not give any form of discount, and some of the same yarn can be found elsewhere with a regular price 10-20% below.

This store holds indeed a lot of different brands, with a nice price variety. Lots of brands, mostly international well known brands as Rowan and Debbie Bliss, but also some brands of Swedish or Scandinavian origin.
Some knitting on display, mostly wristwarmers in all kinds, some larger objects as well. Nice inspiration.
Lady behind the counter, don't know whether she was Maria, was knitting some wristwarmers, but stayed on the background. Did buy some Swedish yarns here.
