This is the best place ever!
I've wrote something on my blog about it: http://www.knitspirit.net/2010/05/jai-teste-la-boutique-lil-weasel.html

If you can only visit one yarn shop in Paris, this should be it. It is located in one of the grand passages - an ancient precursor to the present day shopping mall. The "Passage du Grand Cerf" is one of the prettiest, with domed class ceiling 3 floors high and decorated with wrought iron and wood. Lil Weasel is one of the shops lining this passage. Then you step inside this petite boutique to see a nice selection of yarn arranged by colour and a cozy sitting area for knitting. The owner is very friendly and speaks English fluently. The store has only been open 4 months, but there are many nice samples.

I totally agree with previous reviewer :-)
The shop was cozy and inviting.
The owner was very nice, helpful and spoke good English!

One of my favorite Yarn shop in Paris!
The owner is adorable and always very helpful with a big smile! You can find a lot of brands: Cascade, Malabrigo, Fonty, Debbie Bliss....and you can take classes (Knitting, crocheting and sewing) if you want.
Very nice place to visit and to shop in the middle of Paris!

I agree with others that this has to be the best in Paris. The owner is simply delightful, there is a very good range of yarns - I found it hard to leave.

Wonderful woman who knows what she's doing. Very warm and inviting shop. Be sure to stop in when you're in Paris. Go up rue St Denis from rue Turbigo and the Passage du Grand Cerf is on the left. The Passage is through a big doorway. Don't look for an actual small street like I did. Lil Weasel is just a little way down the passage on the left.
She has some books in English as well as in French. Also lots of fabric there.

A very cute store, to be sure. I didn't talk to anyone, so I can't comment on this apparently awesome store owner.
Sadly the yarn selection (to me) seemed very limited. Pretty and well organized, but not very verried texture wise. Worth a stop because it's in a fun shopping area of town, but... painfully small in my opinion.

Just thought I'd add that a good yarn to buy for a souvenir at this shop is anything from Fonty. They are a French yarn company producing yarn in France. (I wanted yarn from France and didn't think there would really be any.) I'm very happy with it!

The most beautiful yarn shop that I have visited so far. It is in an beautiful old passage. They have everything the knitter / carfters heart could desire, also lots of fabric, accesoires, books etc. The staff is helpful and everything is sold at quite reasonable prices.

I tried to visit this shop but due to their long closing time it was not possible for me to get in. But from the shop windows it seemed very nice and full of stuffs.
