My favourite yarn store in Toronto! All natural fibres, top quality needles, bags, roving, books and more. The service is absolutely excellent. For a tourist it's a must-see because it's in a great neighbourhood - Kensington Market. Lots to do and see.

I adore this place - I only go elsewhere if they genuinely don't have anything I can use (which is not very often - mainly it happens when they're sold out of a size of needles!) The fibers are all-natural with lots of variety, and the place is always packed with other knitters chatting and stitching. :)

Lettuce Knit is my favourite store in the city. Good selection of yarns that you might not find elsewhere - Socks that Rock, Blue Sky Alpacas, Fleece Artist/Handmaiden, Lorna's Laces. Friendly staff and they offer great classes too.

LK has a wonderful selection but I find the staff a bit distant.

I LOVE Lettuce. They have one of the best selections in town, and it doesnt hurt that they're located in Kensington Market, which you can always find an excuse to spend some time poking around in.

I love the selection, however the owner is a bit stand offish and snobby.

I also love the selection at Lettuce and I also found the owner "snobby'. Still like the store though.

I love the selection, the stitch markers, fridge magnets, etc. I was also super-excited by my Julia Stiles sighting in the summer:) The space is very tight though & I agree with other posts about the service not being warm or fuzzy. I have been ignored many a time by LK staff...

Fine natural yarn selection in a cozy space, fun neighborhood, easy to access by local transit and close to many other cultural/shopping attractions. Haven't found the staff snobby; they always greet me and then leave me alone until I ask them for something. Frequented by the Yarn Harlot of knit-blog fame.

snobby, snobby, snobby. snoby, insecure staff & clients. totally yarn & knit snobs, bad energy! also, yarns are all really expensive, no deals here.
