The store is just one room, and, at first, seems to have not much in it. However, browsing around, I found a little bit of everything! There were all kinds of yarn weights, which was great, because I was looking for lace and sock weight yarns. This place carried solid-color sock yarn, which earned it a big plus from me. Overall, solid colored, non-novelty yarns seemed to predominate, which was, again, a plus as far as I'm concerned.
The store had a nice and varied selection of fibers, from wool to cotton to bamboo to corn to porcelain to alpaca to acrylic. There is also a solid selection of needles, notions, and books/booklets.
Finally, the store's owner was very helpful, but unobtrusive. Overall, it was a pleasant yarn-buying experience.

I'm a bit biased because this was my LYS when I learned to knit back in 2002...it was literally 4 blocks from my apartment and I loved going there on Saturdays. I picked up some of the most interesting yarn in my stash there (including a fabulous skein of Interlacements "Alamo"). Highly recommend!

The place for lace! In Chicago on vacation to see the Dbacks v. Cubs and found this yarn store in walking distance to Wrigley. I own a yarn store in Arizona and still managed to find yarn to buy!
