This knit shop is a bit cliquey. You have to be there a lot to be "in". a little bit cold to walk in also. But the store does have a lot of ROCKIN YARN! the prices are a lot tho

I agree that the shop seems a little cold; it could be that it is just "professional". I did NOT find the owner/salespeople to be friendly at all. They did have an amazing selection at rather high prices. I did get help as I asked for it, but no more than I asked for.

I found the owners to be extremely friendly. I showed up late one evening with two hours to spare before picking up my husband at the airport. I found great yarn. The prices didn't seem to be higher than any other yarn shops that I've been in.When I was ready to leave and running late, the shop owners drew me a map for the quickest route to the airport so I could pick up my husband!

Idiosyncratic outfit. Handy to home. Salesfolk are a little frosty until you engage them--possibly tired of stupid questions, but that's an odd attitude for a specialty shop. Not always responsive to email queries. Selection a bit spotty, although they are willing to order in for ya. The shop owner, however, is my sister-under-the-skin: always lovely to find.

I unexpectedly walked into a SALE at this shop so my visit started off on the right foot! I loved this shop and found exactly what I wanted at prices that seemed normal to me (but then I live in IN and things in MO are usually cheaper so I can see why this shop seems expensive to locals). With the sale, I got a great price. They have a huge sale room but it's mostly crappy novelty stuff (yes, I'm a purist). The yarn in the main room is first rate, though with a nice selection of Noro, indy hand dyes and Mission Falls with great pattern support for all. The staff answers kindly and helpfully if asked but didn't approach me other than to tell me about the sale. If you like to be hugged and smooched by the staff, this may not be your favorite place, but if you want great yarn and patterns, you'll love it.

Knitorious is a great store! I've been shopping there for many years (even before the move), and Sandy and her staff are always happy to help when asked. I find their selection impressive, and feel their prices are completely competitive.

I was visiting for a day in St. Louis while my husband was at a conference. I had just come from another yarn shop not too far away and left there quickly after feeling really uncomfortable by the cold environment. I walked into Knitorious and was instantly greeted, given a tour, shown the local yarns and in general made to feel right at home. I loved the selection. I come from Chicago and most the shops in my area don't have near the selection of this shop. Well done!

I was able to swing by during the Black Friday sale while visiting the in-laws and this is a great shop! I was very impressed with the selection and service. Will definitely be stopping in whenever we are in town! :)

I LOVED this shop! It was the last shop I visited during a recent visit to St. Louis. The people working there couldn't have been nicer...or more helpful! I wish I lived in St. Louis so I could go there regularly. They have a great selection of yarn and it seems like a very comfortable place to sit & knit.

Love this shop, the owner Sandy is a beautiful knitter and her peices are occasionally seen in shop. Staff are helpful, but depends on employee it seems if they are outgoing or you have to ask them for help. Love the sale room, it varies, but I guess that depends on the sale items. If I had one store to continuously return to, this is it!
