The Knitche has a wide selection of yarns, needles, and patterns (both books and single patterns), along with a great staff who can help with all kinds of knitting problems. Some of their staff members are published designers as well. They offer many classes in knitting and crochet, along with hosting a sock club, charity knitting nights, and drop-in clinics.
And for those interested in beaded knitting, there's a bead store right next door.

Ran in over the holiday's with my mom. very cute atmosphere with a little coffee cafe inside. and they had a little concert going on with some kids from a local school. happened to have my yorkipoo puppy with and they allowed us in, but dont know what their official policy would be on it. mom was excited about the yarn selection, but they didn't have a ton of the brands I normally like.

Fantastic shop with amazing customer service! Great classes with very talented instructors who are also designers for the major knitting magazines.

LOVE THIS SHOP!
Very friendly helpful service, and the combination of yarn shop and coffee shop is genius!
I love dropping in there to see what's new, have a coffee and a treat and maybe knit a while.

I stopped in with friends. The shop is clean and well lit, warm and inviting. Seating, a good selection and quality products. I loved that they have coffee and other treats and two seating areas. They also offer a knit doctor, which is a great service to offer!

Terrific shop! I went in looking for a private lesson, and was quickly accomodated. My teacher was patient and kind, letting me set the pace for the class. Great assortment of yarns, and has all the notions you could possibly want for knitting. You have to try this store!

Had heard great things about the shop, so have to assume my visit was on an off day. Staff seemed less than interested in dealing with customers. Good selection, and nice layout, but staff makes or breaks a store IMHO.

I have been here 3 times and haven't had the best customer service. I am a beginning knitter and showed them my pattern and asked if they had a specific yarn the pattern called for and they said they didn't have it without offering me guidance of what kind of yarn would work. Twice I bought yarn and they said they were too busy to wind my yarn for me.

I only go here if I can't find the yarn I'm looking for elsewhere, as they have a wonderful selection. Unfortunately, that's the only good thing about this place. Every time that I shop here, I get the worst customer service. Enough so that I avoid going here. They have never offered to wind my yarn. If they are stocking the overflowing yarn cubbies (annoyingly overflowing- it's an avalanche anytime you touch the yarn) they don't offer to move or grab the yarn you are reaching for. Definitely not worth the visit.
