Very pleasant place to sit and knit surrounded by some mighty fine fiber!

I am not sure how the Knit Stop which is located on the south side of 82/86th St. near Dean Rd., between Castleton and Keystone at the Crossing (Clearwater) became Westfield?
Extra large selection of the finest luxury yarns I've ever seen. If Prada had a yarn store, this would be it.
The owner is quite sweet, but the staff seems to think that everyone is as rich as the owner. I don't like snotty store clerks who think money falls out of trees, and they are not very experienced knitters. Still, if you are in need of something or want to see lux, lux yarn...it's worth the visit.

I love this shop! Everyone is so friendly and you feel as though they are the girlfriends you've known for years!
They have a wide selection of any and every thing you need for your project start to finish. Not only are their yarns amazing they have gorgeous buttons, purse handles, beads, ribbons and much more to get your project completed!
I've only been knitting for a few months, but thanks to helpful staff at the Knit Stop, I am advancing and loving it more! Thanks!

I agree they have a wide selection but I don't think it's anywhere near everything you need. They have the largest selection of yarn-I-can't-afford-to-buy I've ever seen. I know there were some $300 skeins. Itty bitty balls of Quivit for $80 each, too small to make even one mitten.
Their selection of good, soft wool, is not that great, and if you're in the market for some regular yarn, it's worth the trip north or south to Stitches & Scones or Mass Ave.

I think it is great to have a local shop that carries things like Quivit - things that I might not have a chance to feel otherwise. I am usually shopping for basics like Rowan, Debbie Bliss, and Malabrigo... all of which Knit Stop carries a nice selection of and displays beautifully!!

Nancy, I was in your store yesterday; oohing and aahing throughout while waiting for my husband who also came in the store. (background info to help you identify me) I am from Richmond and can't wait to visit your store again. You suggested I check out your website and it is wonderful and captures the store and you beautifully!!!! You and your store are amazing!!!! I told a friend who is going to be in Indianapolis during the next four days to make sure and visit your store. She is looking for a project to knit on her way to Houston after her stay in Indy. If she gets to the store I'm certain she'll purchase something. She is a lovely lady and you will enjoy Judy Wood. Congratulations on "dream" shop!!!

i've been in this shop a few times but haven't purchased much. the 1st time i went, i had just gotten off of work and reeked of coffee. i went in with a male friend. they completely ignored us. when i went to check out, the clerk wasn't friendly. i went back another time and left without buying anything since most of their yarn is expensive. i've been told that the owner has some sort of family tie to the indy 500 so maybe that's why the shop is a little too high end for some of us? i've also struggled with store hours. i've stuck mostly to mass ave and broadripple knits as a result.

Wow. That's the main thing I thought when I walked into this shop. It is BEE-YEW-TEE-FULL. Knit Stop should be called a "yarn gallery". Every high end yarn that you've only seen in a magazine, you will see here. The most luscious, amazing yarns imaginable and all the pattern support you could ever ask for. When I die, I hope that heaven is a lot like this shop.
The shop is located in a strip mall in a very commercial area so it's very convenient and has ample parking. It is huge and has a wide selection.
The downside? The staff is uppity and cool. As you might imagine with such high end yarn, the prices are often mind boggling.
