The staff is great, they've been friendly (which is important to me as a younger knitter) and helpful. The selection is pretty good, although they didn't have one of the debbie bliss yarns I was looking for. But the woman who was working there took me all around the shop and showed me other comparable yarns.
They also have a fair amount of seating.

On a recent trip I made an effort to visit this Old Town Arvada shop while in the Boulder area. I was plesantly surprised by the look and feel of the shop in comparison to other yarn shops in the general area. Based on this I was anticipating seeing a large selection of quality yarns (I had my wallet at the ready!), but was disappointed to find a mediocre offering with limited stock. Coupled with a chilly reception at best, I would be inclined to visit other shops in the area first.

I love this shop. If I could spend every waking minute there I would. It is always cozy and friendly.
There is more than enough seating and all too often the place is HOPING on a Tuesday or Wednesday night! Several knitting groups stop in all times during the day and evening to sit, sip on some great coffee and knit or crochet. What a wonderful Knitty Gathering Place!
As for Yarn: The owner makes a point of carrying enough yarn in various colors to complete sweater projects. Since she is primarily a sweater knitter herself she understands the frustration of not finding enough yarn. And, if the shop doesn't have enough for one reason or another they are more than willing to order if for you.
SOCK YARN! Need I say more? If you are a sock knitter you will find a HUGE selection of sock yarn! Even the wonderful Red Rocks Fiber Works! If you don't know how to knit socks...come and take a class! It is a piece of cake.
CROCHET FRIENDLY!!! This shop is on the forefront of crochet friendly yarn shops in Denver. Knit Knack has several displays of BEAUTIFUL crocheted garment...some of which even knitters have to take a second look! Don't believe it can be true? Come and take a look for yourself! They even carry ADDI TURBO CROCHET HOOKS and schedule trunk shows and book signings with some of the top crochet designers in the industry.
The classes that are offered are wonderful taught by great teachers. I am a little biased about this as I am one of the teachers. BUT, I can say without hesitation that our Knitting 101 class is the best priced in all of CO. I teach each student everything he or she needs to know...by the time my students complete my class they are often ready to sign up for a sweater class!
Community, that is really what this shop offers. Set in Olde Town Arvada, this cozy shop is exactly what you would imagine a GREAT yarn shop to be. Have you read the book "Shop on Blossom Street"? Read it...that is what this shop reminds me of when I think of great yarn shops.
Knit Knack has a great customer base of people who are warm, friendly, and quick to help if you are having any trouble at all!

Love and I do mean LOVE this shop! The employees are friendly and very helpful. The shop has a very warm and pleasant atompshere and I look forward to every week to knit in the shop with my knitting group. But my timing can be terrible since when I am able to visit the shop, the mighty sweet shop dog "Thor" isnt there!

Was in the area two weeks ago so I stopped in.I received a much friendlier reception this time, but for some reason the place still just leaves me flat. No real inspiration and nothing I haven't seen in a lot of shops. Don't mean to be unkind, others may have a different experience. Check it out for yourself...

Even though this store doesn't have a huge selection, it's definitely one of my favorites, just because the owners are so friendly and helpful...something that's pretty rare in any LYS. Great coffee, too!

I was on a business trip with a few minutes to spare and found this great yarn store through knitmap!!!! Lovely selection and very friendly shop. The owner was very nice in assisting me with the purchase of an Aran purse pattern and yarn (my first cable project). And Thor (the dog) is quite adorable and friendly! He's a great yarn assistant!

I just attended a book club at Knit Knack, everyone was super friendly. Jeri, the owner was very open, honest and friendly. It is by far my favorite yarn spot, I drive from DIA to go to this store-it is that good!

I love Knit Knack! I am a first-time knitter, and Gerri got me knitting in a couple of hours...and beautiful things too. And the yarns are lovely....it is so fun just to go into the shop and see and touch all the colors and softies. Great place!

I've been in Knit Knack several times and found the staff very friendly and helpful. I've bought yarn from them several times. They don't have the hugest selection, but they have quite a bit and can usually find something that works. I've gotten advice from them on several occasions and it's always useful.

I was on a trip to Denver and spent some time at the Knit Knack. Knit Knack is a wonderful little store, with lots of space for browsing and lots of friendly knitters and crocheters to chat with. I particularly asked after local yarns, and though they didn't have a huge selection, they did have some on hand. I ended up going with the Tilli Tomas Salt and Pepper, though, because I could resist the sparklies!
They had a good selection of high end yarns, but a really great selection of Cascade. I know I could walk in with money and walk out with everything I'd need for a sweater. I also want to mention their collection of buttons, including some one of a kind hand-blown glass and clay buttons.
Thanks for a great shopping trip, ladies (and dogs!)
