I love this shop. The people that work here are so knowledgeable & they are always willing to help. They also just let you go in and touch the wonderful yarn. I could & have spent hours in there soaking up the atmosphere and asking a ton of questions.

I stopped by this knitting store today for the first time. Compared to most other stores I've visited, I thought it had a very deep and varied selection. And most of the yarns were ones I would want to buy. A number of very nice yarns were on sale as well. There were many knitted samples available -- especially helpful for the variegated yarns. There are two sitting areas, one around a table where classes are held and another near the windows with comfy chairs and (bonus!) a nice selection of toys for visiting children to play with. I left wishing I lived close by so this could be my LYS.

Went to this shop when visiting my daughter, she wanted to learn how to knit. Very nice shop, helpful staff, great selection of yarn. They had yarn on sale! Good yarn! Am looking forward to going back next visit.

This is a nice store. My only complaint is that Knit A Round wasn't very friendly or helpful to this 18-24 year old knitter, though it is located very close to the university (and a very large population of 18-24 year olds).

lots of classes offered, staff seemed helpful. There's yarn remenant bin - a concept I can't wrap my mind around, though it's handy for people like me who sometimes need scraps... And a large selection of needles for any budget.

I agree with Annie. I felt as though if I would have looked older I would have been serviced better. (I look 18-24, though I am not.) Left feeling like that scene in Pretty Woman where Julia Roberts goes shopping...

What a great shop! They were so helpful and the selection was just fantastic. Will definately stop back next time when I'm in the area.

Stopped in this past winter to grab some last minute knitting before getting snowed & iced in. Great service & great selection. I can't wait to stop back in next weekend when we're back in town.

They have a good variety of yarn, and they're my go-to place for needles and notions. Their frequent shopper system is excellent - they store your information in the shop computer, keeping another pesky card out of your wallet! Also, bring your own bag, you get a point on your frequent shopper system if you use your own. Accumulate 25 points, get 20% off an entire purchase of your choice.

Their service can be spotty, however. About 75% of the time, the staff are helpful and pleasant. The other 25% can be rather aloof. Not enough to keep me from patronizing the store, but kind of sad.

Visiting the store from out of town, it wasn't bad. If I were to rate it on a scale of awesome to not awesome, it would probably end up in the middle. I wasn't super impressed with their selection, but they had a lot of variety and novelty yarns. I was sad there wasn't any cascade 220, or at least none that I could find. They had a lot of sample garments hanging around that were nicely labeled. The service was alright. They dind't hover over me while I was there, but when I sat down to knit a little at one of their sitting stations, I noticed that they didn't come and check in to see how I was doing (or what I was knitting, for that matter.) I would come back if I were in the area if it was an emergency and I needed yarn for a project, but there was nothing there I absolutely fell in love with.
