I've had a problem with this shop for a long time.

As mentioned above, they only take cash or check.

They also do not mark prices on anything, and their prices seemed high to me.

The owner is a bit snobish; when I asked about local knitting groups, she told me that HER knitting group was private.

I will not return here ever.

This last comment makes me not want to take a class here. I am a beginner and I certainly will need all the help I can get and not rude comments. Maybe I will check out Never Enough Yarn. Has anyone had any experience with them? Please let me know of any good beginner classes out there--around winchester, berryville etc

Thanks so much,
Cookie

Hi folks, Just wanted to let you know, Knit One Purl Two has many classes during the week.
There also is a FREE sit & knit on every Wednesday morning where assistance is offered, if needed. This sit & knit is from 10:30 am until you are ready to leave or 4:30 whichever comes first. You can come in anytime during shop hours and sit & knit and receive assistance. Stop by and give them a try!

I love K1 P2!!! Whenever there is a problem, knitting wise or otherwise I love to go and just sit and knit and talk. I have been knitting since I was 5 yrs old - but wanted to learn socks on circulars. I took a class there and stuck with classes for almost a year, took a break and went back. What fun there is!

I think not taking credit or debit cards is an advantage since it probably keeps the costs down. Carolyn has a great selection of yarns, patterns, and can order something if she doesn't have it. I made some beaded stitch markers a long time ago and gave them as gifts to Carolyn, Laura (the fabulous teacher), and others in the class I was, just for little gifts. Carolyn has since offered to sell them in the shop for me!! What a nice gesture!! I am still making them and she is still selling them!!

If you're stumped on what you want to knit, what colors to use, or what the heck yarn to pick from....both Carolyn and Laura will lend a hand!!!

Go in....see them both! You won't be sorry!!!!

The teacher at K1 P2 is wonderful. I had always wanted to learn how to knit but it seemed so complicated. Laura made it easy and fun. I have been knitting for approx. 2 yrs and whenever I am stuck on something and need help, Laura is more than willing to help me out. If you are looking for a certified knitting instructor, that makes it fun and easy, go to K1 P2 and talk to Laura, you will think she is wonderful just like I do.
