Lots of really nice yarn along with a good selection of books. They just expanded into another shop as well, which I'm excited to see.

I love this shop! They have a great range of yarn (more sock yarn than anything else, but still tons of other things), and the salespeople I've met there have been awesome. I wish I lived closer than NY, but every time I visit St. Louis I make it a point to go by this shop.

Amazing assortment of yarns that we don't see elsewhere here in the St. Louis area.

Fun to go on Thursday night when there is a knit in.

It would take hours to view every yarn that they carry. Don't worry if you don't see enough of a certain yarn for a project, they don't put it all out at once so ask if they have more "in the back".

Also, check out the sale area in the back, have gotten some great bargins there.

Me and several other knitters have been going to this knitting store for couple years, but seems over past 2 years the customer service has declined. Especially do not show up at the store close to closing time, or ask for assistance. They have some really nice yarn, but for the price I shouldn't feel negativity for wanting to spend money there. There are plenty of other knitting stores in St. Louis area and they are much more helpful (even close to closing time), easier to park, have just as nice yarns and selection, have kids corners, assistance with patterns and stitches. I guess money doesn't matter to this store in this economy.
I'm not planning on returning to this store, I'm giving my business elsewhere...as I've been hearing thru the grapevine on Ravelry.

I stopped in the Kirkwood Knittery while visiting my parents in St. Louis last weekend and was very impressed! It's a small shop just filled with a wonderful variety of yarn! Large front windows fill it with natural light which I think is a big plus. I found exactly what I was looking for, and of course, something else I didn't know I needed. And lucky me! They were having a sale on yarns of natural fiber. The service was very kind and helpful. I'll definitely be back!
