Notes
Shetland wool direct from the crofter. Beautiful selection of hand knitting yarns, from 1ply Cobweb used in traditional wedding ring scarves and shawls, 2ply Lace and 2ply Jumper Weight for Fair Isle and colourwork.
Raw fleece is available and if you contact in advance, tours of the woolstore and demonstrations of fleece grading and sorting can be given.

Yarn heaven! They ONLY stock 100% Shetland yarn on their own label, so not the place to go if you're looking for major commercial yarn lines. However, the selection of Shetland yarns available is wonderful, and none of it can be found anywhere else, since they don't sell through distributors. A must-visit store for yarn tourists.
Staff are friendly, helpful, and very knowledgeable. Our tour of the woolroom was a real treat.
