This shop has a very nice atmosphere and is pet-friendly, like much of Friday Harbor. I especially enjoyed looking at two yarns whose source of fleece were local.

Nice shop for locals--good selection of yarns in various fibers and prices--but not so great for tourists. Small with limited selection, and the only local yarn available were a few skeins of raw wool.

Fabulous shop. Stocked up last year on Nashua Creative Focus kid mohair. Knitted up a storm aboard our sail boat. Coming north from the Baja in May and restocking for another summer of sailing and knitting.

My wife and I were at Island Wools in Friday Harbour Saturday July31st.
The woman attendant (staff) was very friendly and knowledgable.
We really appreciate her taking so much time with us.
A really nice shop - the carpet was really clean (how you maintain that is a chore I'm sure) and the ambiance delightful.
You are an example retailers everywhere should follow.
