This is a yarn store in a weaving and spinning studio run by Debbie and Maxine. Please call if you want to visit.

Note that the map is a little misleading. The road that leads East off Center Road is now called Lopez Sound Road, and not Port Stanley Road, as the map shows. Port Stanley Road starts (or ends, depending upon which direction you're going) at its T junction with Lopez Sound Road and goes north. Island Fibers' driveway is on the west side of Port Stanley Road just a little way north of that T.

On Port Stanley Road going east, turn left into the driveway immediately after the mailboxes. The driveway is a winding road among trees and the shop is at the end of this road.

This is a charming little yarn shop! The selection is not huge, you can find very yarns that are local and rare. Debbie and Maxine shear the sheep that live on Lopez Island, spin the wool, and then dye it! I met Debbie and she is pictured in front of the shop.

It seems that I've been mistaken: Debbie and Maxine don't actually shear the sheep themselves, but help with shearing. They do use the fleece from the sheep, which makes a beautiful and unique yarn.
