They don't seem to stock a lot of selection, but they have some really nice stuff. A great place to go if you really want to treat yourself or someone you love to something special.

I happened in here on Friday, and the staff was very helpful. While they had beautiful yarns, they didn't have quite what I was looking for, so they suggested several other places I might look. I was in a hurry and didn't have my knitting along, so I didn't stop for coffee, but the good experience I had will definitely make me shop/knit/have coffee there in the future.

I hear they are closed... does anyone know?

Sadly, they are closed. The new rumor on the block is that they may open again. We're all hopeful... it was so nice to have a place to buy yarn and good coffee!

In the Loop has dramatically increased their selection of yarns, and has an impressive list of classes. I like this place a lot because they have YUMMY baked goods and its very spacious, unlike a few of the other hotspots in town. There's lots of room to spread out, even if its very busy.

In the Loop is wonderful! The atmosphere is warm and friendly. I wish that they would stalk more of each yarn. I know that is a problem for a lot of smaller stores, but there is usually not enough of any one dye lot or colourway to make a sweater. Although, that has probably saved me a lot of money, so I shouldn't really complain.

I just went to this place today, it's wonderful,
I love the smell of the great baking food, and I love to see the colorful yarn.
I especially love their sock yarns, they have some specialities such as yarn from Ancient Threads Farm yarn and Elitespun yarn, they are just yummy and VERY soft !
And one more thing, the store lady is VERY NICE!!

I first went to this cafe for Robin Melanson's book launch, it was a wonderful experience and they did Robin proud. I was so impressed that I purchased four skiens of beautiful Malabrigo lacy weight baby merino for a project I will get to sometime and vowed to find time to go and have a tea with scones and knit away for a few hours. This I did yesterday and hope, time allowing, to make it a weekly ritual. To my delight there is pet grooming available next door so I can leave pooch there and have many hours to look at books yarns and drink as much tea or coffee as I like.

In its current incarnation: great selection in an amazing space that really encourages leisurely browsing, exploring, chatting, and generally hanging out. You can knit and snack at the bar, or just claim your own table and browse from their reference library of mags and books. No pressure and no sensory overload, but tons of cool stuff to admire, buy or eat. Easily accessible by local transit.

WiFi! good foods, but the staff don't know what they are doing when they help you with yarns & projects. the woman with the red hair totally screwed me over!

i found this place a month ago when looking for another ball of sublime baby cashmere merino (or whatever it's called) and they were great! will definitely be back soon - they are having a sale this week.
