OMG - what a find! All beautifulness in a quaint historic town with great restaurants too - way too good to miss. Julia and Anne were amazingly helpful and helped me put together three projects with the most beautiful yarns around (and I visit a lot of yarn stores). This is my new favorite place; even though I am an hour away. I even found free parking in a garage down the street from the shop - what a find - my yarn appetite is quenched for now, but who knows, I'll probably be back for more goodness next month!

Our Knitting Guild stopped at this yarn shop on our yarn crawl. We were welcomed with a sign on the door and with a special leaflet just for us. We really felt special. The owner was there, sling and all so that she could meet all of us. We bought a lot from her and we got some wonderful ideas of things to do here in Fayetteville. Thank you, Anne, for your wonderful hospitality and to your ladies who helped us with the most minute detail. We WILL be back (and that's not a threat).

Wonderful shop! It's a small space and can get kind of cramped (my currently 8 month-pregnant self has issues negotiating between the rack in the middle and the walls) but the incredible selection makes it completely worth it. One of my favorite stores in the area, for sure!

I moved out of the area a year ago and this is the shop I miss the most. Anne is so friendly and helpful! I'll never forget one time I was in the shop with a friend who was doing some serious shopping so I sat next to a teenage girl on the sofa. She was knitting her first pair of socks and she finished them while I was there. Anne was so encouraging to her, insisting that she take a picture and complimenting her work. It was great to see! The shop is crowded, but in the best way possible! She stocks some of the best yarns at all price ranges from Ella Rae to Malabrigo, to Tilli Thomas, as well as a nice selection of needles and notions. I love just going and squeezing all the yarn!

This is one of my favorite yarn stores... I can picture myself whiling away hours at a time (if I ever had that much time) sitting and knitting and talking. The staff is so friendly and helpful! And the yarn selection is great! (Though it can get pretty cramped in there-- HYS has more yarn than space-- not that I'm complaining!) Besides, it's in a cute little town, worth hanging out in for a while!

It's not a big shop, but it has a _great_ selection of sock yarns!

Shop is small but sweet! Considering the space, they have an amazing selection in there. The owner was very nice and helpful. Hillsborough was a fun town to visit and the yarn shop was definitely the highlight of my trip there.

A fantastic eclectic knit shop with very helpful and kind staff. I really enjoyed my visit and the great yarns to choose from. I ended up with a bamboo yarn and a mohair yarn, absolutely yummy! Afterwards, I dropped by Tupolo's restuarant and had some fried green tomotoes and a sandwich to round out the day. Oooh! and the gallery down the street was great too! Make a day of it!

What a wonderful shop...cozy, warm and welcoming...lots of great yarns...the owner actually likes people and encourages them to browse...then, if help is needed, she genuinely enjoys working and talking with her customers... a refreshing change from the Raleigh experience...

I can't say enough about how helpful both Anne and Ivey are. They are just amazing. there is no amount of need or question that seems to deter them from being always helpful and pleasant. Such a change from some other stores actually closer to where I live. Try never to miss a Sunday when they're open for knitting.

A great selection of Noro yarns, and lots of specialty and name brands (Debbie Bliss, Berroco, Araucania, Colinette). Not so much of the "old reliables" like Cascade. The owner, Ann, is very nice and the shop is very cute.
