This is more of a craft store than a knitting shop. There is not much for knitters at all, although it seems to be a happening place for felting and beeswax.

went in to buy some yarn and was treated indifferently by the clerk. when i did go up to purchase my items she took almost ten minutes to find the calculator (apparently 3 X $7.90 was too tough to do in her head). nice enough place but i won't be going back.

Katherine I'm sorry about your experience there. I no longer have an employee and appreciate your feedback.

This store is really cool. It's definitely more of a craft store than a yarn store, but they do have yarn, and lots of felting stuff and other neato crafts.
And to be fair, Katherine, I can't do 3 x 7.90 in my head very fast either, haha.

Visited them recently on the 2011 PDX Knit Crawl! My sister and I visited all twenty stores in two days! We were greeted the second we came in, which on a day like that, is amazing! They had a great needle felting demonstration and though they are not a "yarn" store, the fiber they did have was very nice! I liked that they had other crafts, since I'm not JUST a knitter.
I give them my "Most Mommies and Daddies" award. I may be childless at the moment, but I would have a blast taking a child there. The kids surrounding the table were involved and really into their projects and it was great to see them being nurtured. I love the truly geeky needle felted art on the walls, as I too am a fan of Captain Jean Luc Picard!
