Excellent shop with yarn organized the way I keep my stash - by WEIGHT/WPI! A real couch in the back is an extra bonus for those of us who like to park and natter for a while between errands.

I wish the selection were more beefed up, because I love the location and the staff are so nice. Maybe it will get better; it's pretty new. Every time I go in, I spend a lot of time talking to them and then feeling bad because I couldn't find anything I could use. The inventory is limited and not too expansive in offerings. I do keep going back and trying, though. They now have Malabrigo, which is new for them. YAY!
They did change the store hours recently, open only until 6 p.m. now, and no evenings.

Sweet shop, very friendly, helpful...always very welcoming. I agree that the selection is limited, but they are always very happy to place an order for you and let you know when it arrives. You never feel like an outsider at this LYS ~ come and see!

I *love* Gauge. It is a very clean and very organized (by gauge, of course!) shop. If you know what you want to make, it's a very quick trip in there to look for the right yarn! They have a book lending library and they have a collection of the sweetest people that go to their knit-in's. (Also, they get in little fancy treasures every now and then, such as Madelinetosh Sock!)

Nice shop, great sitting area in the back, decent selection. The day I showed up the owner stepped out and put someone in charge who didn't know how to run the register or check out the customers... annoying as hell. He was nice but it took 20 minutes to pay for my stuff and I only bought two things and was the ONLY PERSON THERE!
