I've been there twice. The second time I went the shop manager was very rude to me and then apologized when I called her on it, saying she was very stressed out. But she still didn't bother to look up from her work long enough to answer my questions.

I was just there this weekend for the first time. I would have loved to stay longer and look around but I made the mistake of bringing the husband and kid with me. They were quickly bored. Oh well, it kept me from buying yarn I couldn't afford but for how long? Now that I know it's there I'm in trouble. They didn't have the size needles I wanted in stock but I'm even having trouble ordering them online. Everyone is sold out so it might be a manufacturer problem. It's a very nice store and I can't wait to go back!

I was visiting my best friend in RI and wanted to check out a LYS. I saw the negative reviews, but decided to give it a try anyway because Fresh Purls had the patterns that I wanted to try out. They couldn't be more wrong, the staff was EXTREMELY HELPFUL! I stepped in and was immediately attended too. When I asked for the pattern, binders were pulled off the shelves and the associates helped me look through them. Sadly they were sold out of the pattern I needed, but their selection of yarn was heavenly. My best friend picked out some beautiful Malabrigo yarn so I can knit her a scarf and I treated myself to some fabulous alpaca. If I lived here this would be my LYS, I'm already looking forward to my visiting my best friend again so that I can come back to this shop.

Made my first trip here about two weeks ago, loved the shop, friendly staff, very helpful as I wanted to substitute a less expensive yarn for a shawl pattern, they did conversions and did everything they could to help me. My friend was looking for some yarn for a baby snow suit and they went to the downstairs stock room and brought up loads of choices. Most winter yarns had been put away in favor of lighter weight yarns for the summer, the winter yarn she purchased was sold with a spring discount, yippee! The shop is comfortable and I will surely be visiting again. I had signed up for the newsletter and they hold many functions, classes and Sit and knits.
