Notes
April opened this store just recently and it is already a hit with all of us local knitters. They have classes, comfy chairs to just come in and knit and great conversation and friends.

Added this new LYS to make sure everyone knows it's there! Wonderful place to shop, sit and knit, or visit. You will not be disappointed.

I visited this location fairly regularly when it first opened. However, a number of things have happened that ensure I will not visit this yarn store again.
1.) On my first visit I went in intending to purchase enough Cascade 220 superwash to make an afghan. The proprietor, April, was not familiar with Cascade 220 superwash and directed me to the Cascade 220.
2.) I was never greeted warmly at the store by any of the staff. At times it was difficult to get someone to check out my purchases.
3.) The environment is uncomfortable. Uncomfortable chairs, lighting that gives one of the knitters migraines, and horrific Muzak. Some folks started bringing their own chairs.
4.) Most importantly, the owner April has a history of taking designer's patterns, stripping the identifying copyright and designer info off them, and then distributing them. She's done that with patterns from Knitty and from local designers. I will not support poor business ethics with my hard-earned money.

Boy, do I agree with Heherbert regarding April and her review of Fleece! Her business practices are all about the money. If you do not buy EVERYTHING in her store, there is no assistance. I also noticed her giving knitting instructions that are not to be copied.
What April fails to realize is she is "not the only game in town"!

I agree with both Robin and Heherbert---the people that work there are very rude and last time I bought yarn there, they wouldn't even wind it for me as 'they were too busy" chitchatting and gossiping with some what appeared to be regulars. Sadly, we are new to the area and I was hoping to find a great knitting store to get some stuff----does anyone else know where I can go to find knitting supplies?

The store is smallish and I had a hard time finding anything I wanted. They do have a few interesting and nice yarns. The wool section had Cascade but limited in colors and quantities. Had some Noro. I didn't have a problem with the atmosphere, except it was small.
